Stocks end Monday's session higher

Closing out the day… Stocks rallied Monday as GOP concessions on raising taxes suggest that a compromise on the Fiscal Cliff may be getting closer. The Nasdaq lead the major indices higher as Apple (AAPL) reversed its recent slide to close up 1.8%.

Among the high-volume stocks today Apple (AAPL), Google and Citigroup (C) posted gains while Baidu (BIDU), Altria Group (MO) and Vodaphone Group (VOD) all moved lower. The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index closed the day up 0.43 at 116.99 a 2.6% increase. The Put/Call Volume Ratio is at 0.43 while the Put/Call Open Interest ratio is at 0.92.
