Stocks end higher for second straight day

Closing out the day… Stocks rose for the second day in a row Thursday after strong export data from China and positive comments from the European Central Bank.

Among the high-volume stocks today Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB) and Bank of America (BAC) booked gains while Microsoft (MSFT), Herbalife (HLF) and EMC Corp. (EMC) all moved lower. The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index closed the day down 0.35 at 13.46 a 2.53% decrease. The Put/Call Volume Ratio is at 0.79 while the Put/Call Open Interest ratio is at 0.90.
