Stocks close mixed after Apple report pulls tech stocks lower

Closing out the day… Stocks were mixed Monday, with the Dow closing higher and the S&P 500 closing just below the breakeven point. The tech-heavy Nasdaq closed down 0.45% after reports that Apple (AAPL) cut its orders for iPhone components.

Among the high-volume stocks today Dell (DELL), Acadia Pharmaceuitcals (ACAD) and Flowers foods (FLO) booked gains while Francescas Holdings (FRAN), Maxim Integrated Products (MXIM) and Cirrus Logic (CRUS) all moved lower. The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index closed the day up 0.12 at 13.48 a 0.9% increase. The Put/Call Volume Ratio is at 0.66 while the Put/Call Open Interest ratio is at 0.91.
