Stocks end week on a high note

Closing out the day… Stocks ended higher Friday after the monthly employment report included some upward revisions to December and November.

Among the high-volume stocks today Google (GOOG), Bank of America (BAC) and Microsoft (MSFT) booked gains while Facebook (FB), Merck (MRK) and National Oilwell Varco (NOV) all moved lower. The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index closed the day at 12.90 after opening at 13.37. The Put/Call Volume Ratio is at 0.80 while the Put/Call Open Interest ratio is at 0.91.
