Late-day slide leads to losing Thursday

Closing out the day… Stocks traded in positive territory for most of the day before tailing off in the last hour and a half of trading, ultimately ending the day lower.

Among the high-volume stocks today Facebook (FB), Netflix (NFLX) and Commonwealth REIT (CWH) booked gains while American Capital Agency (AGNC), Walmart (WMT) and J.C. Penney (JCP) all moved lower. The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index closed the day at 15.51 after opening at 14.73. The Put/Call Volume Ratio is at 0.91 while the Put/Call Open Interest ratio is at 0.95.
