U.S. markets are moving down Tuesday morning. The S&P 500 is down 0.11% and the Dow is down 0.12%. Producer Prices were unmoved in August, after rising 0.1% in July.
Asian markets fell on Tuesday as Japanese markets broke a five session winning streak. The Hang Seng was down 0.91% and the Nikkei was down 0.23%.
In Europe, stocks are moving down this morning as Germany’s ZEW indicator for economic expectations took a larger than expected drop. The FTSE is down 0.43%, and the DAX is off 0.33%.
Energy futures are falling today. West Texas Intermediate crude oil is $92.51 per barrel, down $0.41 and natural gas is down $0.02. Metals prices are up. Gold is up $3.10 and platinum is up $4.30. The Dollar is down versus the Euro and the Yen.
Frontier Communications Corporation(FTR), Viper Energy Partners (VNOM) and JDS Uniphase Corporation (JDSU), are up. PG&E Corporation (PCG), Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC (OZM) and Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AVNR) are down.
