Amazon has been doing well for quite some time, but after late January of this year, shares began to rise with a vengeance. Part of this is simply stored value that was not yet expressed in the stock, and it was the recognition of that value that led me to identify AMZN shares as a buy six times in the past five months, as well as to buy shares in my own account. I still think, by the way, that Amazon will be the first company on American exchanges worth more than $1 trillion. Apple (AAPL) is a lot closer, but unlike AMZN, it isn’t headed in the right direction.
