(RTTNews) - Monday, Qatar University announced that it would use the solution developed by Cerner Corp. (CERN), Cerner Academic Education Solution, or AES, to teach students in its pharmacy program how to work with an electronic medical record, or EMR. According to the University, the new tool permits students to learn in an environment that mirrors the automated point-of-care setting in which they will be working at a later date. The University claimed that it is Cerner's first client in Qatar. The Cerner's AES is the only full clinical information system adapted to support healthcare curricula and classroom instruction.
