(RTTNews) - Monday, telephone service provider Qwest Communications International Inc.
(Q) announced the appointment of Kurt Fawkes as its senior vice president of investor relations effective June 9, while the current senior vice president leading investor relations, Rahn Porter would assume the role of senior vice president and treasurer, replacing Janet Cooper on his retirement.
The Denver, Colorado-based company said that Fawkes joins Qwest from Sprint Nextel, where he led the investor relations organization since 1994.
Porter served as Qwest's vice president and assistant treasurer prior to leading investor relations. In that role, he managed strategic relationships with financial institutions and credit-rating agencies.
Q closed Monday's regular trading session at $4.82, down $0.03 or 0.62%. Further, the stock lost 3 cents or $0.62% and traded at $4.79 in the after-hour trading.
