Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) opened at 26.89. So far today, the stock has hit a low of 26.28 and a high of 27.00. MSFT is now trading at 26.37, down 0.50 (-1.86%). The stock hit its 52 week high of 37.50 in November and set its 52 week low of 23.19 in July. MSFT slipped at the beginning of this year, but has been moving sideways for the past few months. The Wall Street Journal reported today that Microsoft has talked to other media companies about teaming up to buy Yahoo (YHOO)'s search business. Back in May, Microsoft withdrew a $47.4 billion bid for Yahoo. Technical indicators for the stock are neutral and slightly improving while S&P gives MSFT a very positive 5 STARS (out of 5) strong buy rating. If you’re looking for a hedged play on this stock, consider an August bear-call credit spread above the $30 range. MSFT stock could rise up to 13.8% before expiration and this position would still be profitable. [RHF - Seven Summits Strategic Investments NewsBite]
