Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. (BRL) opened at 65.97. So far today, the stock has hit a low of 65.74 and a high of 66.40. BRL is now trading at 65.75, down 0.22 (-0.33%). The stock hit its 52 week high of 66.69 in July and set its 52 week low of 37.40 in May. BRL dropped for most of the past year, but is showing signs of rebound recently. Barr Pharmaceuticals announced today it is being sued by Amgen Inc. (AMGN) over a challenge to the biotechnology company's hyperparathyroidism drug Sensipar. The condition involves the overproduction of a hormone which interferes with calcium regulation. Technical indicators for the stock are bullish and steady while S&P gives BRL a neutral 3 STARS (out of 5) hold rating. If you’re looking for a hedged play on this stock, consider a November bear-call credit spread above the $70 range. BRL stock could rise up to 6.5% before expiration and this position would still be profitable. [RHF - Seven Summits Strategic Investments NewsBite]
