Dell (NasdaqNM: DELL) opened at $8.54. So far today, the stock has hit a low of $8.52 and a high of $8.74. DELL is now trading at $8.70, up $0.17 (1.99%). Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $7.84 to a high of $26.04. Shares of DELL are trading higher this morning after an analyst wrote in Barron's over the weekend that despite a recent downturn in sales, the company is well-positioned to ride out the economic slowdown due to its valuable brand, strong cash position, and cost-cuts. This could be a good sign for DELL. DELL is also receiving support from an upgrade to Buy from Hold at Argus. Technical indicators for the stock are neutral and S&P gives DELL a neutral 3 STARS (out of 5) hold ranking. If you are looking for a hedged play on DELL the stock seems like it could be a candidate for an April out-of-the-money bull-put credit spread below the 8 range.
