Microsoft (NasdaqNM: MSFT) opened at $25.05. So far today, the stock has hit a low of $25.04 and a high of $25.49. MSFT is now trading at $25.32, up $0.63 (2.55%). Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $14.87 to a high of $28.01. MSFT shares are on the move this morning after computer manufacturer Dell (DELL) reported a second-quarter profit of 31 cents per share, topping analysts' estimates of 23 cents per share. The company said it saw demand "stabilizing" during the quarter, driven by stronger consumer demand. This could be a good sign for MSFT, whose Windows operating system is bundled with most Dell computers. Technical indicators for the stock are neutral and S&P gives MSFT a neutral 3 STARS (out of 5) hold ranking. If you are looking for a hedged play on MSFT the stock seems like it could be a candidate for a January out-of-the-money bull-put credit spread below the 19 range.
