AngloGold Ashanti (AU) Is Slightly Lower Today With Gold Prices Trading Flat

AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE: AU) opened at $44.45. So far today, the stock has hit a low of $44.08 and a high of $44.75. AU is now trading at $44.16, down $0.23 (-0.52%). The stock hit its 52-Week high of $47.52 in December and set its 52-Week low of $34.11 in February. AU is trading slightly lower today with gold prices remaining virtually unchanged. Gold is down $1.60 today to $1,256.30. S&P does not currently have a STARS rating for AU. If you are looking for a hedged play on AU the stock seems like it could be a candidate for an October out-of-the-money bull-put credit spread below the 40 range.
